Welcome to Ms. Davis' Class Blog
Before I begin to explain what this blog will be about, I would first like to introduce myself... I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends and trying new things, whether it is a new recipe, movie, restaurant, or even just a new card game. I recently learned how to play euchre and now I am obsessed with it! Also, when I have the chance, I love playing solitaire and suduko games ... they keep my brain active. As you all should know, I am a science teacher, which means I should enjoy learning new and interesting topics in that field, which I do. A site that I recommend to everyone - one that has a large number of great and factual videos is TED (this is a site that does NOT only relate to science videos, but numerous other videos on just about every possible topic).
I would now like to begin by telling you that this blog will consist of some of the favorite topics of scientific study to which I have been introduced. In this first blog post, I would like to begin with something that perhaps not many people consider, and yet it is the largest part of the Earth around us ... that is, the hidden world that is found underwater! This is a fascinating topic to me, so I hope you all enjoy it, as well!
To get an idea of what you know (or don't know) of this hidden world underwater, I want to ask a few questions - then I will begin giving you some great information on the area. OK? Let's "dive in!"
